INTRODUCING: WSFF 18 Judging Panel

Introducing our judging panel for 2018: Mark Crane: ''Desire, dereliction and a sense of just being outside, on the fringe of something beautiful  or dark that echoes in our lives, sometimes we peek through the crack and sometimes we dive in''   Director and writer Mark Crane of Theatre On Wax produces theatre, film and installation work. Born in Watford in 1969, Mark Studied fine art in Hertfordshire and special effects in America.     He has worked on numerous films including Labyrinth, Judge Dredd and Nightbreed. find out more at www.theatreonwax.com Shaun Clark: Shaun Clark is an award winning Filmmaker based in London. He studied animation at the National Film and Television School in the UK. In 2016 he won the London Short film festival and has also won prizes at Clermont Ferrand and the Melies d'Argent prize. His work is BAFTA nominated and he was part of the Olivier award winning team on the Sam Mendes  show Charlie and the chocolate factory.

Introducing our 2018 festival director and programmers!

James Dyer - Festival Director James is a local filmmaker who is currently studying at  The Northern Film School . Last year, his short film 'Home Town' was featured on the Big Screen at The Parade as well as appearing at film festivals in Scotland and Croydon. Abigail Regan - Festival Programmer  Abigail is an undergraduate Director at  The Northern Film School  in Leeds. She also dabbles in Screenwriting and Producing. Her 2016 Documentary Short 'The Man behind the Mask' has recently been accepted and screened at two film festivals in the US; Orlando Film Festival and Grand Rapids Comicon Film Festival in Michigan. She is currently Directing her graduation film 'From The Inside'. Robert McKendrick - Festival Programmer   A film and television alumni of  West Herts College , Robert now works as a professional photographer at  Warner Bros. Studio Tour London  with ambition to work within the film industry in the near future.
